PES Update 11/14/11 (POTLUCK Week)

We have 3 events going on this week:
-Making Change When Change is Hard to Make- TODAY November 15th 5:30-6:30 in 235 SU, see previous emails for sign up information.
-THIS FRIDAY November 18th 7pm, POTLUCK Hadley Community Center *****MANDATORY FOR PENDING MEMBERS***** (see information below)
-SATURDAY November 19th will be the Buffalo Museum of Science guided tour 10am-1pm, we will meet at 9:30 am in the SU lobby. You must email Colleen (email below) by Thursday at 6 pm if you plan on attending. Cost will be $9.

Remember that we also have the Sabres Ticket Raffle & clothing orders (order form attached) that will be due THIS FRIDAY November 18th by 5 in 235 SU or can be handed in that night at the potluck (7pm). Sabres tickets can be picked up in 235 SU if you have not picked up any, they are $2 each or 3 for $5, and your are required to sell $20 worth for credit. Also please remember that the POTLUCK IS MANDATORY for all pending member and you are required to bring a side dish, this should not be a surprised we have talked about this many times. We will provide turkey and pasta with red sauce. If you are an active member that is attending you can bring a dessert. Weekly Update (10/10)

Hi all,

I promise this email is shorter than it looks so please read it all!

-We have solidified our Fundraising activities for this semester. We will be having a Sabres Ticket raffle (tickets are worth approx $250), Raffle Tickets will be $2 or, 3 for $5. ALL MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO SELL $20 WORTH OF TICKETS. This will be handed out at our second general meeting on October 27th. If you cannot make that meeting you can pick up the tickets in 235 SU in the following days. Tickets must be handed in (in 235 SU) by November 18th, if you are attending the potluck you can hand them in there. We will pick the winner of the raffle that night at the potluck. We will be tabling in the Student Union to sell more tickets, if you work the table you will recieve 1/3 of a credit (to be used towards the general meeting credits)- Date TBD.
-For additional credits (to fufill a miscellaneous requirement or to stay an active member) you can participate in our Bottle Drive. You have 2 options: If you turn the bottles in and get the slip, you only have to collect 100 bottles. But, if you turn the bottles in to us to deposit them, you have to collect 150 bottles.You can ONLY turn in the bottles at our General Meetings(MUST have your name and # of bottles on the bag). IF you have a slip, you can hand them in to SU 235 at any time. (At the desk in SU 235 there will be a piece of paper where you can put down your name,dollar amount, and email**please write legibly otherwise we may not be able to give you credit**)All bottles turned in must be able to get deposited, any other bottles or trash that can’t be returned will not be counted. You DO NOT need to bring all your bottles or slips in at the same time. Just make sure that you have the correct amount at the end.

Bottle Drive Information

Options:

If you turn the bottles in and get the slip, you only have to collect 100 bottles.
If you turn the bottles in to us to deposit them, you have to collect 150 bottles.

Where to turn them in?

Members can email me to sign up, and should include whether they need transportation or have their own and/or would be willing to car pool
Sign up by Thursday, October 6th
Cost: $20 or less like last year (groups of 15 or more get 40% discount)
Meet outside 235 SU between 4-4:30pm

PES Bowling
Saturday, November 5th – Tonawanda Bowling Center
Members can email me to sign up, and should include whether they need transportation or have their own and/or would be willing to car pool
Sign up by Thursday, November 3rd
Cost: TBD (the cheapest package before any student discount is $9.95/person for 3 games and shoes)
Meet outside 235 SU by 9pm (we could also go at midnight depending on member interest)
